Chippendale Chest on Chest, c. 1770-80

Description
New England, probably Connecticut, c. 1770-80.
In a rare diminutive size, the chest is embellished with a
central carved fan drawer flanked by two smaller drawers
above three long. The lower case is fitted with a waist molding
above four graduated drawers supported by a dovetail bracket
base having unusual, possibly unique pierced scrolled spurs.
The chest retains its original cast brass hardware.
