Description
This elegant 19th century French brass table lamp features a sculptural silhouette that beautifully reflects the refined aesthetics of the period. Originally a candlestick, it has been professionally converted into a table lamp, retaining its rich historical character while serving a modern function.
The tall, columnar body showcases a series of stacked, graduated forms with soft angular lines and gentle curves, giving it both visual rhythm and architectural presence. The base rests on three outwardly scrolled feet, each with subtle foliate detailing, providing a sturdy and decorative foundation.
The brass has acquired a gorgeous aged patina, enhancing the lamp’s antique appeal and adding warmth and depth to its gleaming surface. Topped with a classic white tapered shade, the lamp offers a harmonious contrast between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary simplicity.
Recently rewired for safe, modern use, this piece is ideal for those who appreciate timeless design and the quiet grandeur of French 19th century decorative arts. A beautiful addition to side tables, consoles, or as a pair flanking a mantel or bed. -
