Description
Glass Globe Pendant Chandelier in Glass with Narrow White Stripe Band by Mazzega, circa 1970s. Sphere-shaped Murano glass with inverted bottom and recessed socket.
These type of chandeliers were made for many years and is a typical product from Venice/Murano. Always said that it is a chandelier made by AV Mazzega, but several companies produced these type of lamps with glass leaves hanging on a metal frame, though the AV Mazzega company is most likely the maker. AV Mazzega produced numerous chandeliers with glass plates hanging on a metal frame.
AV Mazzega was founded in 1946 by Angelo Vittorio Mazzega. In 1950 his son Gianni Bruno Mazzega started working in the family’s glass factory. Gianni Bruno Mazzega is responsible for the creation of many beautiful lamps. -
