Description
1960s Hans Agne Jakobsson Model #V157 Cylindrical Wall Lamps for AB Ellysett Markaryd
An architectural and minimalist design executed in white painted metal and opaline lucite, the V157 echoes the design of Jakobsson's 'Rulle' sconce. Its generous scale and translucent shades give off a soft, diffuse light that is ideal for powder rooms or entryways. When turned off, the lights provide a sculptural design element.
Hans-Agne Jakobsson was a Swedish interior and furniture designer, who ran his own company from 1951. Jakobsson was especially famous for his lighting designs, which often had a softly glowing light and organic shape. His designs were inspired by great, modern Scandinavian designers such as the Finnish icon Alvar Aalto and Danish lighting master Poul Henningsen.
