Description
Striking pair of contemporary sculptural ceramic lamps by French artist Agnès de Bizet, handcrafted in France in 2025. Conceived as both functional lighting and abstract ceramic sculpture, these pieces showcase de Bizet's distinctive architectural vocabulary and deeply tactile approach to material.
Each lamp is formed from heavily textured stoneware with a dramatic circular silhouette rising from a tapered base, pierced through the center by a bold geometric opening. The surfaces juxtapose a rich dark brown-black glaze with raw chamotte clay edges, emphasizing the organic texture and handcrafted character of the works. When illuminated, the open core creates a warm atmospheric glow that enhances the sculptural depth and graphic presence of each piece.
Designed to function either as table lamps or wall-mounted light sculptures, the pair offers remarkable versatility while maintaining a commanding visual presence from every angle. Signed and dated by the artist.
An exceptional pair that reflects the renewed interest in collectible contemporary ceramics and functional sculpture. -
