Description
A captivating example of early 20th-century American lighting, this antique Arts & Crafts table lamp, attributed to Phoenix, features a richly detailed reverse-painted glass dome shade depicting an evocative autumn landscape at sunset. The hand-painted scene wraps gracefully around the shade, capturing the warm, golden hues of fall foliage and the tranquil glow of dusk — a masterful interplay of color and light that comes alive when illuminated from within.
The dome rests on a finely cast bronze base adorned with stylized morning glory motifs, echoing the natural themes of the shade. The base is fitted with a triple socket configuration, offering adjustable lighting and an even, radiant glow. Though unsigned, the design and quality are strongly attributed to Phoenix — a known maker of high-caliber reverse-painted lamps during the Arts & Crafts period.
Both functional and decorative, this lamp is a timeless statement piece, perfect for adding warmth and character to traditional, transitional, or eclectic interiors.
In excellent antique condition with minor wear consistent with age and use. The lamp stands approximately 22 inches tall with a 14-inch diameter shade.
A beautiful and atmospheric lighting piece that blends fine craftsmanship with artistic expression — ideal for collectors and connoisseurs of early 20th-century design. -
