Antique French Empire Style Brown Painted Metal and Gilt Bronze Chandelier
French, late 19th Century
Dimensions: Height 60cm, diameter 67cm
This unusual chandelier is crafted from painted brown metal, mounted with ormolu or gilt bronze details. The main body of the piece includes ormolu mounts and finials to the top and bottom, and issues six scrolling ormolu branches. These feature griffon mounts, and light fixtures with floral petals. From the branches, six chains connect them to the top fixture of the chandelier, which features further ormolu mounts. - More Information
