Arne Jacobsen AJ 50 outdoor wall light for Louis Poulsen in grey. Based on his iconic 1960 Danish Modern design. The fixture emits downward directed light. The shade is painted white on the inside to ensure a soft comfortable light distribution with a frosted glass element covering the LED housing.

Launched to celebrate the 50 year anniversary of the AJ family. One Arne Jacobsen's design aspirations was to use the latest energy saving technology which is why the AJ 50 features an LED light source. This fixture produces direct downward light and the inside of the shade is painted white so that the light is distributed evenly.

Available in black, white, or natural painted aluminium with a powder-coated texture. Features a die cast aluminium shade and round backplate with a frosted glass LED enclosure. Mounts directly to a 4" octagonal junction box. UL Listed for wet locations. Shown in black. LED only.

Arne Jacobsen was born and raised in Copenhagen. In 1927, he graduated as an architect from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. After graduating, he obtained his first job at the office of the City Architect of Copenhagen launching his own office only two years later.

Arne Jacobsen is a world famous Danish modernistic architect and designer. Over the years, he ventured into various fields related to his work such as lighting, furniture, cutlery, door handles, sanitary fixtures, fabrics and wallpaper patterns. "The Egg" and "The Swan" are two famous chairs designed by Jacobsen.
