Description
Art Deco Stepped Glass Hanging Fixture – Art Deco Collection
This striking and unusual Art Deco hanging light fixture likely originates from the United States, circa late 1920s to early 1930s. The design features a distinctive stepped glass shade, beautifully frosted with concentric ridges that radiate outward in classic Machine Age style. Suspended from a bold chain and connected to a richly detailed canopy, this piece is both functional and sculptural.
The hand-painted metalwork adds color and dimension, with Deco motifs in geometric form. The original polychrome finish remains visible on the canopy and upper fittings, showing off red and green accents in a stylized arrowhead pattern. The fixture's structure is further enhanced by three dramatically angled supports and a tapered finial at the base, which completes its architectural silhouette.
A rare configuration with dynamic proportions, this fixture would be perfect for a foyer, stairwell, or statement powder room. Rewired and ready to install. - More Information
