Superb pair of Barovier & Toso polychrome glass wall lights, with different length glass tubes.. Italy c1970

Reminiscent of Art Deco style.

The lamps are made by hand with the aid of a metal mould, whose irregularities are transferred onto the glass during the blowing procedure. Created using the 'corteccia' technique. Whereby the surfaces of the tubes have the qualities of an organic surface, like tree bark.
