Description
This pair of Bitossi table lamps brings the language of Italian studio ceramics into the domestic interior with an unmistakably sculptural presence. Each lamp is formed as a tall, tapering cone—almost totemic in silhouette—finished in a dark, volcanic-textured glaze that reads as both mineral and handmade. Vertical trails of pale, cratered glaze run down the surface like controlled drips, catching light and emphasizing the clay body’s rough relief. Small protruding nodes interrupt the smooth geometry, giving the forms a tactile, organism-like rhythm. Seen together, the lamps function as a composed set: closely related in scale and profile, yet individually animated by glaze flow and surface variation. Vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use; minor marks and irregularities to the ceramic and glaze inherent to the production. A second pair in the same form and dimensions is available in a lighter glaze; see separate listing. Shades are shown for presentation. If you’re interested in a specific shade or would like something similar, feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to make you an offer. The height was measured from the bottom edge to the top of the lamp socket.
Please note: Lamp should be fitted professionally in accordance to local requirements.
