Description
The Lucienne Floor Lamp; is a playful piece of functional sculpture inspired by the fabric designs of Lucienne Day.
A note on the design: Blueprint lighting's Chief Luminary, Kelly Aaron, opened her first Mid-Century Modern design store in 1999 and became a respected young voice in mid-century design, Studio Pottery, and modern craft; guest-curating museum exhibitions, contributing to arts texts and giving gallery talks. Around this time, her extreme adoration of Lucienne Day's textile designs began; Kelly spent time tracking down bits of vintage Lucienne Day barkcloth to fabricate pillows in the back of her retail shop. Per Kelly, "The Lucienne Floor Lamp is evocative of the geometric botanical line drawings in Day's textile designs--I wanted to emulate her style in three dimensions."
Fabricated in brass with satin opal blown glass globes. Shown in our hand-finished Oil-Rubbed Bronze, but may be made in any of our 6 in-house metal finishes or 36 in-house enamel colors (all shown in final images).
Blown glass globes are 6" in diameter and are threaded to screw easily around the socket.
Dimensions: 78"h x 24"d, diameter around the glass globes is 20".
The fixture as shown has seven (7) G9 sockets (halogen-style sockets with 2 pins). We recommend G9 LED bulbs in a T4 shape: 5w LED with 60-watt equivalent. Bulbs are not included.
All Blueprint Lighting products are UL-listed. -
