    Extremely rare ceiling lamp designed by Carl-Axel Acking (Sweden, 1910-2001) model 982 for Bröderna Malmströms Metallvarufabrik, Malmö, 1940/50s. Brass, 5 light points with off-white lacquered shields with brass rim, upper three light points surrounded by an open opal glass bowl. Diameter 28", height 18", total height 66". Original condition: patina, occasional loss of paint. Original brass sockets by BMM with manufacturer stamps. Rewiring and/or refinishing available upon request. Provenance: Ekshärad Community Centre, Värmland. Exhibitions: The model was presented at The Scanian Fair in Malmö in 1940. Literature: Model illustrated in the 1940 production catalogue.
