Extraordinary monumental scale table lamp with wonderfully textured surfaces by Conny Walther (b. 1931), perfect for a beach or alpine interior, having a cylindrical form with relief bubble-like motifs in a pale gray and white glazes on top and a rock-like texture with matte brown glaze on bottom; Denmark, 1960s-1970s; impressed artist mark "CW"

An acclaimed ceramist, Walther worked at Saxbo and Kahler, and studied at the Kunsthåndværkerskolen in Copenhagen, before opening her own studio in Birkerod in the 1950s.

(Please note that the 22" height stated is for the base alone; with shade overall height would be approximately 38-44" depending on shade preference.)
