Description
Daniel Becker 'Emily Vertikal 6' Chandelier in Anthracite & Oak for Moss Objects.
Designed by Berlin luminary Daniel Becker and handmade to order using modern and Mid-Century manufacturing techniques, the Emily Series won the prestigious German Design Award 2019. The high quality sheet steel shades are cut, bent, formed, welded and sanded by hand in a complex process to build natural, organic shapes before they are painted in choice of a high-gloss black or a semi-matte anthracite or white, and fitted with opaline PMMA diffusers. They are then arranged in a mobile-like fashion around a sculptural frame of waxed oak timber. This new 'Vertikal' version of Becker's iconic design is better fitted for vertical spaces such as staircases, where a long and narrow installation is needed.
