This striking six arm chandelier was produced in Denmark in the 1960s. The fixture consists of six white opal glass shades, each with a separate reflective shade in copper mounted on top of the glass shade. This created a beautiful effect when illuminated. The reflecting shades are removable if desired. The glass shades are mounted on six refined curved arms, again in copper. All six arms lead to a ring shaped center in black painted steel, from where six copper colored cables are attached to the top. The canopy is again executed in a combination of copper and black steel details. The lamp offers a striking and unusual example of the originality and craftsmanship of the Scandinavian Modern lighting pieces of this era. The lamp is in good, completely original condition. Minor age consistent with age and use a natural patina on the copper. A number of the reflective shades show some spots of wear on the copper, which are not very distracting from the overall good impression. Please see listing pictures for details. The reflective shades can be removed entirely if desired as they're simply resting on the glass shades.
