This rare pair of table lamps was designed by Göte Augustsson and produced by Ruda Glasbruk in Sweden in the 1960s. This particular model is known as Demant.
Each lamp features a solid glass base crafted in an ice glass style, with thick cylindrical forms shaped by deep, irregular fissures that evoke natural ice blocks. The fractured surfaces catch and refract light, giving the bases a crystalline, sculptural presence. Their weight, density, and intricate textural patterning underscore the handcrafted nature of the pieces while adding dramatic visual depth. The tapered shades are custom-made in a pale sage silk fabric by Colefax & Fowler.
The lamps are in very good condition, with renewed wiring and new shades. They are currently fitted with 220V European plugs and standard E26/E27 bulb holders.
