Description
This striking four arm chandelier was designed by Harald Notini and produced by Arvid Böhlmarks Lampfabrik in Sweden, circa 1927. This particular model numbered 6316 is a great example of the unique Swedish Grace style of this period.
The striking design consists of four marbled glass shades with a slightly undulating, scalloped rim. The shades are attached to brass holders with a serrated shape, connected to the centre by brass arms in a beautiful curved shape. The sphere shaped centre of the fixture with serrated decorative details throughout, with a separate hanging sphere attached to the lowest part of the lamp. This hanging sphere can be easily removed if desired. The fixture is entirely executed in nickel plated brass which has developed a beautiful and natural patina over time.
A striking and extremely rare example of Swedish Grace lighting. With the marbled shades and distinct forms, the chandelier is beautiful both with the light turned on and off. The intricate details, the materials used and the high level of craftsmanship perfectly illustrate the originality and quality of both Harald Notini and the manufacturer Böhlmarks.
