Description
Bronze Table Lamp from a Vase by Eugène Provost, France
€3,000.00
Exceptional bronze table lamp originally crafted as a vase by French artist Eugène Provost (1836–1885).
The vessel features intricate sculptural reliefs of climbing figures intertwined with floral motifs, showcasing Provost’s characteristic attention to movement and detail.
Around 1930, the vase was sensitively transformed into a table lamp, preserving its artistic integrity while giving it a new functional life. The piece is topped with a pleated fabric shade that complements the rich patina of the bronze.
A rare and striking decorative object blending 19th-century French artistry with early 20th-century craftsmanship.
Very good vintage condition with natural patina and minor signs of age.
Wiring: All our lamps are wired for EU standards. Unfortunately, we have neither the means nor the qualifications to wire them for US standards.
CONDITION
Very good vintage condition with natural patina and minor signs of age.
