Description
Set of three 'Tunika' hanging pendant lamps from the "Saturn Series" designed by Jo Hammerborg for Fog & Mørup (ca. early 1960s, Denmark).
As the name suggests, the concept of the design centers around two concentric cylindrical bands, executed in various proportions.
These early examples feature the satin black lacquered metal exterior ring enveloping top and bottom central cylinders in copper-alloyed aluminum. The interior of the black exterior ring retains its original orange lacquer, which provides an attractive, atmospheric glow when illuminated.
All three retain the original cylindrical canopies.
One of the fixtures shows a streak of tarnish, another shows a patch of oxidation spotting, and the black shades have minimal, light scuffs, as shown. Overall, in good, vintage condition.
Max wattage: 75
H: (pedant alone) 9.5" x Diameter: 6.5"
H: (inclusive of cord) 49" -
