Pair of 1940s Model #1537 Sconces by Pietro Chiesa for Fontana Arte. Executed in opaline glass and metal in Italy, circa late 1930s / early 1940s. A highly refined design by one of the greatest masters of lighting, this exceptional pair of sconces exudes understated elegance.
Price is for the pair.
Literature: Franco Deboni, "Fontana Arte, Gio Ponti, Pietro Chiesa, Max Ingrand," Umberto Allemandi & Co, 2012, fig. 42 related double glass model.
Professionally rewired for US electrical. Accommodates 1x 60W max equivalent standard candelabra base (e12) LED bulb (LED only, not included). Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing available from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee. Contact us to facilitate.
