Description
This Elegant Pair of Mid-Century Modernist Hand-Blown Murano Glass Striated Translucent Leaf Sconces are created by the esteemed Murano Glass Artist Franco Luce and originate from Italy, Circa 1970. Highly elegant and deeply grounded in observation of nature, these sconces feature a lovely undulating silhouette rendered in a single piece of hand-blown glass with parallel linear detailing resembling the direction and organic variation of leaves. The Center has a raised spine, flowing downwards to a stem in translucent glass which is hugged beautifully by polished brass fittings which attach the sconces to the wall. The light is diffused beautifully by the translucent glass, highlighting the elegant veins and creating an stunning gradient of illumination. A lovely pair of sconces rendered in the highest quality materials, these will style excellently in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors. In Excellent Vintage condition. Newly rewired to American standards, these sconces take one Candelabra Based Light Bulb Per sconce casting up to 60 watts of light each.
