French Louis XVI, Chandelier or Pendant Light, Dore Bronze, Crystal, France, 19th Century
An outstanding quality Dore bronze chandelier from the 1860s, having four tiers of fine cut crystals supported by a finely cast frame of bronze depicting shells, rosettes. A superb and highly decorative doré bronze chandelier, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship and elegance. This example features four cascading tiers of brilliantly cut crystals, supported by richly detailed, finely cast bronze frames adorned with classical shell motifs, rosettes, and lush baskets of grapes. Versatile in design, the chandelier may be flush-mounted using it's original matching canopies or suspended from a chain for a more dramatic and commanding visual statement.
