Very Large Limburg Amber Bubble Glass Flush Mount or Sconce, Germany, 1960s

Sold Sold
  • Description
A decorative and substantial ceiling or wall light with a 17-inch diameter, dating from the 1960s and crafted by Glashütte Limburg in Germany. The fixture features a golden metal mount paired with a hand-blown glass lampshade, showcasing an exquisite iridescent amber-golden surface reminiscent of the shimmering effect seen in soap bubbles or mother-of-pearl. Fully marked, this piece is in good condition and reminds of the designs of Helena Tynell, who also worked for Limburg. It accommodates three light sources, providing a beautiful and ambient illumination.
