Description
Designed by Greta M. Grossman, the Grashoppa Floor Lamp is a timeless classic. Its powder coated aluminum and steel construction makes it durable and stylish. Perfect for any modern or traditional space, this lamp will provide quality lighting for years to come.
Greta Grossman, from Helsingborg, Sweden, came from a family of Swedish cabinetmakers and was a woodworking apprentice. She was the first woman to be awarded the Furniture Design award from the Swedish Society of Industrial Design. She moved to Los Angeles and opened Magnussen-Grossman Studio on Rodeo Drive with her husband. Designing for stars such as Greta Garbo and Ingrid Bergman, she was iconic in Hollywood.
Founded in 1967 in Denmark, Gubi has always been about bringing well-designed products to the forefront. With a family spirit passionate in design, GUBI has always followed its instincts for finding forgotten icons from the past, enter collaboration with contemporary designers and creating appealing designs that evoke emotions.
