Idman Minimalist Ceiling Lamps in White Opaline Glass Model 80113, 1950s
-
Description
An elegant pair of ceiling lamps model 80113, manufactured by Idman in Finland in the 1950s. This very minimal design fits easily into any interior. As with a lot of Scandinavian design the beauty of these lamps stems from the simplicity. Nothing extra, only what is necessary, and once again, less is more. In addition the condition is flawless and both pieces have Idman stamps at the base. This pair came from the estate of Kaarlo Hilden, the former Ceo of Idman himself.
Back when these lamps were still commercially sold, they were interchangeable with each other, that's why this pair has the base of the model 80112 and the shades of 80113
Idman was one of the leading lamp manufacturers in Finland during the middle of the 20th century. Along with companies like Taito Oy, Itsu and Orno they defined what Finnish design lamps would become. -
