Italian 18th Century Giltwood & Crystal Chandelier

This dazzling 18th-century Genovese-style Italian chandelier is the perfect statement piece for any space. The fixture is topped with an acorn-shaped finial, and the central column is made from wood that has been carefully carved with an acanthus leaf motif. The gilding has patinated into a beautiful orange-gold. There are three tiers, each consisting of six brass arms. The arms of the top tier are capped with clear, flower-shaped crystals, and below them hang chains of round and teardrop-shaped stones. The arms of the middle tier are capped with the same floral crystals, and between them we find repousse brass medallions with crystal centers. Draped chains of crystals connect the middle tier to the bottom. The bottom tier features six crystal candle cups that have been cut into floral shapes. Between each arm hang swags of prisms surrounding the clear crystal ball attached to the bottom of the column. Throughout the piece, blue, red, and yellow cut glass stones appear intermixed with the crystal. The fixture has been professionally cleaned and rewired using UL-listed components, ready to install in your interior. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering the age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos.
