A true celebration of craftsmanship and botanical elegance, this enchanting Italian tole lantern dates to the mid-20th century and evokes the romantic whimsy of a blooming garden. Suspended from delicate chains adorned with hand-painted floral garlands, the fixture’s openwork iron frame gracefully curves to cradle a beautifully scalloped opaline glass shade.
The tolework is intricately detailed, with scrolling arms wrapped in climbing vines, blossoms, and foliage painted in soft greens, dusty pinks, and golden ochres. Each bloom is individually formed and painted by hand, reflecting the traditional Florentine artisanry associated with Italian toleware. The central opaline shade features a delicate diamond pattern and a gently ruffled edge, softly diffusing the light and casting a warm, ambient glow.
