Description
The Leda floor lamp by Jacques Jarrige is a sculptural, standing light that brings the artist’s signature language of movement and gesture into a luminous vertical form. Hand-carved and finished in a radiant white lacquer, the lamp’s sinuous silhouette rises from the ground with quiet energy—its curves and contours unfolding like a line drawn in space.
Elegant and organic, the piece exemplifies Jarrige’s deep engagement with material and form. The surface, smooth and reflective, amplifies light while emphasizing the fluidity of the design. Like a figure caught mid-motion, Leda carries a subtle anthropomorphic quality—at once abstract and sensuous, grounded and ethereal.
Signed by the artist, each lamp is a unique expression of Jarrige’s intuitive process. It stands as both a functional object and a sculptural presence, bringing rhythm, warmth, and a refined simplicity to its surroundings.
