Description
Menine is a sculptural table lamp by Jacques Jarrige, cast in bronze and composed of three interlocking elements. A rounded, pebble-like form rests horizontally, cradled between two vertical supports that rise with quiet presence. The composition is deceptively simple yet perfectly poised, evoking a sense of balance, stillness, and subtle tension.
As in much of Jarrige’s work, the lamp blurs the line between sculpture and function. The organic curves and softened planes suggest natural forms—stones worn smooth by time—while the overall structure feels almost architectural in its clarity. The bronze surface, with its soft sheen and hand-worked finish, adds warmth and gravity to the piece.
Menine brings a meditative quality to any interior. At once minimal and expressive, it reflects Jarrige’s enduring exploration of rhythm, gesture, and the tactile resonance of material.
The bronze base alone is 11".
The shade shown in the last image is 8" at the top, 11.5 at bottom and 8" tall on the slant.
There is one candelabra socket. -
