A piece from the volcanic stone (basalt) collection of furniture and lighting by master stone carver Julio Martínez Barnetche from Mexico. The lamp recalls a 50ies style form or could also bear some reference to spacecraft and a UFO. The light is subtly shining through around the edge. The volcanic stone is symbolic of Mexico and comes from the queries of the famous and still active Popocatépetl volcano in the south of Mexico City.
