Large Mid Century Pendant Lamp in Painted Metal and Etched Opaline Glass 1960.

A large (62 cm / 25 inch diameter) and quintessentially mid century pendant lamp - with great provenance - in blue and white lacquered metal and etched opaline glass. The etched opaline glass shows a wonderful convex shape both below and above the blue lacquered metal middle piece - interestingly altering the perceived image of the lamp when viewed on the same level opposed to viewing it from the ground. A great design.

Originating from an important Dutch building by Bossche School architect Jos Bijnen - these were installed around 1960 / 1962 and have been installed until now - a great and significant provenance.

Due to the large size and the wonderful inventive design, this truly is a very special pendant lamp which will be the center of attention in any interior.
