Description
A large pair of demo-lune, uplight, polished brass sconces with stylized flames along the top openings. The sconces' hammered surface tapers to a flared smooth polished finial. The sconces are newly polished and lacquered and rewired with 3 standard base sockets for use in the USA. Designed and by Lars Holmstrom and made at Arvika (mark impressed) these sconces are first rate examples of "Swedish Grace" style which premiered at the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes in Paris, 1925.
