Description
CALITRA is a large pendant light sculpture. The light is scattered through the geometric body projecting a watery texture. The piece reflects the light from within and projects it downwards. Each geometric silhouette is unique and different, which makes the piece more exclusive. By reflecting the light the piece projects the light onto the different rectangular figures. Cosy, dreamy lighting, full of nuances, unique and personal.
The artists manually apply two layers of material: the first one transparent and the second one with the desired colour. These layers give the piece a thickness of 1 cm of material. An emphatic but at the same time ethereal piece.
LAS ÁNIMAS IS THE ARTIST COUPLE TRINI SALAMANCA AND PABLO PÁRRAGA AND WAS CREATED IN SEVILLE IN 2014.
The creative universe of Las Ánimas starts from and seeks to make the mind wander, as an altered vision of reality, created through a language of minimalist, geometric and iterative patterns; to develop an iconography of retro-futuristic, transgressive, ceremonial and deeply evocative aesthetics through experimentation with different materials, shapes and textures. -
