Description
Poul Henningsen PH 3/3 metal pendant lamp for Louis Poulsen.
These refined pendants are an addition to the Louis Poulsen PH collection and are based on Poul Henningsen's original drawings from the late 1920s and early 1930s. Poul Henningsen designed hundreds of lamps based on the three-shade-system he developed in 1926, pioneering unequalled lighting quality for all types of needs.
The PH 3/3 is described as a ‘whole’ sized pendant and is characterized by its appealing compact semblance; the top shades correspond elegantly with the middle and lower shades in the proportions of 3:2:1.
Executed in black painted spun aluminum, the shades are meticulously crafted at Louis Poulsen's factory in Vejen, by Louis Poulsen's own staff – a craft only very few are trained in. Their matte finish is smooth and soft to the touch, while their white-painted interiors reflect a fine and primarily downwardly directed light.
Although the fixture is over 80 years old, it is both modern and classic at the same time, making it ideally suited to a broad range of interior design environments. It is seen as a charming, rustic, functional and unpretentious piece.
Price is per item. Available in unlimited quantities in choice of black painted spun aluminum, white opaline glass, or a combination thereof.
