Description
A Louis XV style gilt bronze hexagonal hall lantern with three lights.
French Antique Gilt-Bronze Lantern, 19th Century
Elegant French antique lantern in finely worked and gilded bronze, featuring a refined hexagonal form enriched with exquisite Rococo decorative details.
The lantern is distinguished by its graceful scrolling framework, adorned with acanthus leaves, floral motifs, garlands, urn finials and delicate foliate ornaments. The architectural silhouette and elaborate gilt-bronze decoration reflect the elegance and sophistication of 18th-century French decorative arts.
The interior is fitted with three candle-style lights, enclosed by glass panels that enhance the warm glow and beautifully reflect the intricate gilded details. -
