Description
This rare lamp is a prototype lamp. It is unique. It was made by the Macbeth Daylighting Co. It is thick aluminum with copper accents. The weight on the under side of the base is hand cast. This company was founded in 1915 by Norman Macbeth. The company specialized in lighting fixtures that simulate daylight for use in stores, hospitals, art studios, and other facilities requiring excellent lighting. The Corning Museum of Glass holds the company's photo history from 1915 to 1950.
