1950s Mauri Almari Cascading Chandelier for Idman
-
Description
1950s Mauri Almari cascading chandelier for Idman. A rare example executed in black painted and perforated metal with the original brass canopy that has been modified for mounting over a standard American juncture box. Highly reminiscent of Paavo Tynell's iconic designs for Taito Oy. An incredibly refined design that is quintessentially Finnish.
A contemporary of Paavo Tynell, the inspired work of Mauri Almari has made him an increasingly valued midcentury Finnish designer by collectors in the know.
Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing available from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee. -
