Pair of 1950s Perforated Brass Wall Lamps Attributed to Mauri Almari
A rare and elegant design executed in sculptural brass on a gooseneck adjustable stem with attractive vintage patina throughout. Small perforations at the top of the shade provide a geometric play of light when turned on. Unmarked. A contemporary of Paavo Tynell, the refined work of Mauri Almari has made him an increasingly valued midcentury Finnish designer by collectors.
Price is for the pair, one pair available.
Professionally rewired for US electrical with new sockets and period-style 4.1-inch brass backplate to accommodate a US j-box. On/off switch on lamp. Accommodates a single e12 max 40w equivalent LED candelabra bulb. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee. Contact us to facilitate.
Wear consistent with age and use. Please note that one pendant is featured in photos and videos but that both pieces are in similar good vintage condition and present well as a pair. -
