Scandinavian Modern Ceiling Lamp in Brass by Mauri Almari, 1950s

This very rare ceiling lamp, designed by Mauri Almari and produced by Idman in Finland, is a refined example of mid-century Finnish lighting design characterized by material precision and formal clarity. Constructed entirely from brass, the lamp features six conical shades, each suspended from individually twisted black cords. The configuration is both sculptural and symmetrical, with the shades arranged in a radial layout that ensures even light distribution while establishing a strong visual rhythm.

The shades are meticulously formed in spun brass, tapering to narrow points and flaring gently at the base.
