Description
This striking Mid-Century Modernist floor lamp, crafted in the United States circa 1950, epitomizes the era's focus on minimalism and refined materials. With its clean, geometric aesthetic and impeccable use of textures, the lamp perfectly balances form and function, embodying the principles of Mid-Century design.
A polished brass and black enamel stem forms the foundation, rising from a sculptural brass cylindrical supports arranged in a tripod form. Exuding a diffused glow downwards from each illuminated element, housed in black enamel with a frosted glass diffuser and pierced black enameled metal diffuser on top of each of the three illuminated elements. The discs appear to hover effortlessly as they encircle the central rod, extending from the central frame with refined brass attachments.
The minimalist three-disc design contributes to the lamp's sculptural quality, making it as much a piece of art as it is functional lighting. The balanced combination of polished brass, frosted glass, and black enamel allows the lamp to blend seamlessly into a range of interior styles while commanding attention. Its elegant silhouette, combined with its high-quality materials, makes this floor lamp an enduring example of timeless Mid-Century Modern craftsmanship. Styling beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors, this lamp is newly rewired to American Standards, and accommodates three edison base bulbs achieving up to 300 watts of light. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
