This stunning Murano glass chandelier was handblown in Murano, Italy the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production. It features an oblong body consisting of an abundance of barbell shaped Murano glass shades hanging in a honeycomb formation. The shades are produced using the highest quality Murano glass rendered in a clear, subtly opalescent finish. With its clean modernist lines and beautiful glass quality, this chandelier is as versatile as it is aesthetically compelling, blending perfectly with virtually any style of decor from Classic Mid-Century Modern to ultra-contemporary. It can be displayed flush to the ceiling or as a pendant. It accommodates twelve Edison based bulbs providing up to 1200 watts of light. The chandelier has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent condition. The chandelier can be presented with either a brass or chrome rod (or chain) and canopy. The height can be adjusted to suit.
