Description
This Modernist hand-blown Murano glass Ethereal Bloom & Bud chandelier, crafted in Italy in the 20th century, is a captivating fusion of traditional Murano glass artistry and sleek modern design. The chandelier radiates an unmistakable elegance, with its delicate frosted and clear glass elements and polished nickel fittings creating a harmonious interplay of texture, light, and form.
The chandelier’s design is inspired by the organic shapes of blooming flowers and budding plants. Each individual hand-blown glass component exhibits exquisite craftsmanship, with frosted glass lending a soft, diffused glow and clear glass contributing a crisp, luminous quality. The blooms and buds are arranged in a sculptural configuration that mimics the dynamic beauty of nature, evoking feelings of lightness and vitality with an etherial luminous presence.
The nickel fittings enhance the chandelier's modernist aesthetic, offering clean lines and a reflective surface that complements the ethereal quality of the glass. These metallic accents add structural support and emphasize the chandelier’s contemporary sophistication, making it as functional as it is artistic.
Ideal for a luxurious dining area, grand entryway, or modern space seeking a touch of refinement, this chandelier is a statement piece that balances visual lightness with bold design. In excellent vintage condition, it remains a timeless example of Murano craftsmanship’s ability to adapt traditional techniques to modern forms, making it a collector's item that will endure for generations to come. Newly rewired to American Standards, this piece accommodates seven candelabra base bulbs achieving up to 420 watts of light. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
