Description
This graphic and dramatic sputnik chandelier was handblown by our atelier in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production- exclusively for us. It features an abundance of circular glass shades with an imprinted starburst patter in relief connected to cylindrical polished brass rods emanating from a central orb in the same material. With its warm brassy palette and clean modernist form, this chandelier is as versatile as it is stunning. it would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. The fixture has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent condition. The height can be adjusted to suit. It accommodates ten Edison based bulbs providing up to 1000 watts of light.
Italy, 21st century.
