Murano Scavo Corroso Lamp II
-
Description
This is a stunning example of a late 20th century Scavo Corroso* Vase, attributed to Seguso/Karl Springer, that has been beautifully detailed with a bronze collar with pendant archaic-style bronze masks. The vase has been drilled and fitted to a custom acrylic base, acrylic cap and electrified. The lamp appears to retain its original silk shade which is in overall good condition with a few scattered spots. The lamp is in exceptional condition with a few minor traces of use. A second similar lamp is listed separately.
*The Scavo Corroso finish was an applied process used to simulate the characteristics of ancient glass on modern glass pieces. -
