Description
Designed for his masterful Chandigarh Parliament building, Le Corbusier‚ Parliament Floor Lamp is both elegant and functional. It is adjustable in height and features two cone shaped diffusers that swivel for direct or indirect light. This lamp design is now being manufactured in Italy by Nemo Lighting.
Charles- douard Jeanneret-Gris otherwise known as Le Corbusier, was a Swiss architect, artist, designer, urban planner and writer, best known for his achievements in modern architecture. His most important architectural works include Villa Savoye in Poissy (1929-1931), Unité Habitation in Marseille (1947-1952), the city of Chandigarh in India (1954) and Notre Dame du Haut in Ronchamp (1955).
Nemo Lighting was founded in Milan in 1993 by Franco Cassina. Their mission is to transform lighting ideas into products that have an undeniable presence and are able to transmit an innovative aesthetic. With that in mind, they created the Master’s Collection; a unique selection of lamps from famous designers of the 20th century including Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand, Franco Albini and many more.
