Description
Vico Magistretti 'Claritas' Floor Lamp for Nemo.
'Claritas' is the first lamp designed by Vico Magistretti and produced with Mario Tedeschi in 1946. Cleverly executed in a series of metal tubes, the lamp also features chromed metal accents and a painted black aluminum diffuser with a white interior.
Italian designer Vico Magistretti was born in 1920 in Milan. After earning his architecture degree as a contemporary of both Gio Ponti and Ernesto N. Rogers, Magistretti gained recognition through his involvement in the post-war reconstruction period in Europe. His iconic designs remain highly sought after by collectors.
