Description Pair of 1950s Giuseppe Ostuni articulating sconces for O-Luce. Executed in brass and white painted aluminum with perforated shade. Shade pivots up/down on a ball joint and arm rotates freely left/right. A very rare and exceptional example of Ostuni's celebrated midcentury Italian design aesthetics. Price is for the pair. O-Luce was one of the most innovative lighting design companies in Italy during the midcentury era. Their exceptionally refined designs have been long sought after by collectors in the know. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing available from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee. Wired for US electrical J-boxes. Custom period styled brass backplates. Each sconce takes one US candelabra 60w maximum LED bulb (lower with incandescent). Professionally repainted and rewired for single socket 60 watt max US candelabra bulb (lower with incandescent), custom patinated brass hardware and backplate. Minor patina, bends, dents and scuffs as largely shown in the images noted only for accuracy.
