This rare table lamp was produced in Sweden in the 1940s and is attributed to Otto Schulz’s designs for Boet, Gothenburg.
The lamp features a sculpted solid birchwood base with gentle curves and a warm patina. Its tapered, faceted stem rises from a quatrefoil-shaped base set on small rounded feet. A small patinated brass collar sits between the stem and the base, adding a subtle decorative accent.
The empire shade is a renewed, custom design made from white Loro Piana linen, offering a refined contrast to the wooden base. The fabric’s texture allows for a beautifully diffused light when illuminated.
The lamp is in very good restored condition, with patina consistent with age. Renewed shade. Updated 220V European wiring and a new standard E26/E27 bulb fitting.
