This rare table lamp was designed by Erik Tidstrand in 1927 and produced as model 26550 by Nordiska Kompaniet in Sweden. The model is featured in the 1928 NK catalogue.
The design is executed in antique patinated brass with a conical center in maroon-lacquered Bakelite. The stem tapers gracefully toward the base, giving the piece a refined, architectural silhouette. The lamp is finished with a brass collar and fittings and is topped with a conical shade. The shade is a custom design in white Loro Piana linen, which provides a soft, even light when the lamp is illuminated.
The base is in good original condition, with the brass showing a natural patina and minor signs of wear consistent with age and use. The shade has been renewed. The lamp is currently fitted with 220V European wiring and plug, and features a renewed E26/E27 bulb fitting.
